MapServer is an Open Source development environment for building spatially-enabled internet applications. MapServer is not a full-featured GIS system, nor does it aspire to be. Instead, MapServer excels at rendering spatial data (maps, images, and vector data) for the web.

There are many ways for you to try install mapserver in your version of RHEL

With FGS

Install libstdc++5 and later run the FGS Linux Installer

With RPMS

You can use the RPMS from mammothpostgresql or robin

With SRPMS

You can try to recompile the mammothpostgresql SRPMS, or the robin ones
